This is v2.0 of the BuffsBlog.com OFFENSIVE RECRUITING BOARD. If you’re having a hard time making out the general shape of Colorado’s 2025/26 class, this should catch you up.

So You’re Saying There’s a Chance
You’ll notice the final column in the recruiting board is called “So You’re Telling Me There’s a Chance.” This lists the current likelihood of said player eventually suiting up for the Buffs. Since we are still very, very early in the class, take the “So You’re Saying There’s a Chance” column with many grains of salt. There are several potential responses in the column:
* No: This is reserveds for athletes that have already committed to another school. It’s important to note that commitments are not binding at this stage and it is common for players to de-commit and re-commit in a recruiting season. Therefore, take the “No” more in the spirit of “No for now.” In fact, I’m thinking of changing this to “Committed Elsewhere” because “no” seems so definitive for 2025. Stay tuned to see if we make that change.
* Probably not. This is reserved for players that haven’t expressed much interest in the Buffs thus far in the recruiting process or that have expressed significantly more interest in other programs.
* Stay tuned. This is reserved for players that have a link to Colorado somehow, that have expressed interest in the Buffs, that have visisted or intend to visit CU, or that otherwise make too much sense not to consider playing in Boulder. New in Version 2.0, those delineated with an asterik (*) are those that are further along in their CU interest than others. Those are the players that CU is in good to very good shape with.
At this early stage, this board is best used to get a stance on offers and potential early interested players. Again, however, given the early stage of recruiting, take this all with a grain of salt. This is fun, people.
This recruiting board will be updated regularly on this site to keep you informed of the state of the class of 2025/26.
Premium Info
One last note before we jump in — if you really want to know how things stand, Colorado fans are blessed with an incredible set of insiders at 247 and Rivals. I recommend them.
Additional Note on Premium Info: No illicit sharing of said material will appear on this site. Players are listed with interested schools in their profiles or social media; this information is public. Commitments are by definition public. If you want a clearer picture than what can be gleaned from free browsing, subscribe to 247, Rivals or On3. They’re worth it.
Let’s jump in:
Quarterback
I thought it would be difficult for the Buffs to recruit a high-level QB in the 2025/26 given the commitment of 5-star QB Julian Lewis last year. I might be wrong. I’m surprised that there is real interest from several highly ranked signal callers, including Oscar Rios and Brodie McWhorter (a 3 star QB with a 5 star name). Both are worth keeping an eye on as the recruiting process unfolds. Rios, a former Purdue commit, is a dual threat QB who would look fantastic suiting up for the Buffs.

Wide Receiver
CU is “in” on several high-level WR prospects, including Cederian Morgan and Jordan Clay. I also expect that Toray Davis, who is currently finishing his junior yeat at Fariview High School in Boulder, will end up playing down the street at CU. Davis shined at Colorado’s Prime Time 7v7 Classic tournament and earned a scholarship offer as a result of his performance there. High school recruiting can be a bit of a crapshoot, but there’s a lot less risk taking a player that coaches have worked with and seen play on the field in a camp setting. CU coaches must think Davis is a strong Power 4 conference player given his offer after camping.
Another elite player that has shown material interest in CU is Jase Matthews. I have him listed as one of the top athletes nationally, so he’s not listed below and instead is listed as an “Athlete” on the Defensive Recruiting Board (which will be updated soon so stay tuned for that). It’s possible, and maybe probable, that the top 200 player nationally plays as a WR in college. If I were highlighting him below, I’d give him the “Stay tuned*” treatment as he has a visit to Boulder planned and has real interest in the Buffs.
CU signed 3 true freshman WRs this past recruiting season (Adrian Wilson, Quinton Gibson and Quanell Farrakhan) and will probably takes 2-3 more WRs in the 2025/2026 class.

Running back
There were no true freshmen RBs or transfer RBs in the last class, so this is a real position of need (I expect CU to add at least one running back in the Spring transfer portal). Right now, Dylan McCoy and Cody Jordan are 2 names to keep an eye on, and there’s an expectation that more running backs will be offered by CU in the near future. CU needs to get to work here as there isn’t yet a blue chip back that is extremely high on the Buffs and this is a position of need going forward. This could be a great opportunity for a high school back to get early playing time.

Tight End
A couple of tight end names to watch include Heze Kent, Gavin Mueller and Julius Miles. Heze “Superman” Kent is a potential gamechanger for CU at the position, so I expect the Buffs to push hard for his signature. If you get a chance, check out his highlight tape — he is an extremely impressive athlete. Mueller recently named the Buffs to his top 8.
Miles is a lanky tight end that plays both ways for Freeport High School out of Florida. Miles is probably a Florida State lean, but CU is pushing.
CU signed 2 true freshman TE last year (Corbin Laisure and Zane DeSouza). This is still a position of real need, so if there’s a talented TE or two available, expect the Buffs to jump.

Offensive Line
Last year, Colorado signed 3 true freshman offensive lineman. I suspect that this number will only increase going forward as the Buffs have realized how difficult it is to build a successful offensive line comprised primarily of transfers. Names to look for include Johnnie Jones, Derek Worden, Zykie Helton and Joel Ervin.
Another name to keep an eye on is Zayden Krempin, a 4-star linemanout of Prosper, Texas. Krempin is visiting Boulder in April and is high on the Buffs as well. The interior offensive line propsect is ranked among the top 20 high school players in the State of Texas.

In summary, I think it’s reasonable to expect CU to add 10-12 of the players listed on this offensive hot board for the upcoming recruiting season. The Buffs are putting themslves into position to potentionally land a top 25 class if they can close on players thare are expressing a lot of early interest. Stay tuned for an updated defensive hot board coming in the next week or so.
