DEION SANDERS IS BACK AFTER BATTLING BLADDER CANCER

And the Herd finally breathed.

Deion Sanders disclosed this morning that he has been dealing with an aggressive cancerous tumor on his bladder this summer.  He had his bladder removed last month and his medical team said the cancer is now gone.

 “As a result of the surgery, he is cured from the cancer,” Dr. Janet Kukreja said.

Deion Sanders encouraged everyone to regularly see a doctor.  He said that if he hadn’t been getting checked for his cardiovascular health as a result of his history with blood clots, the tumor wouldn’t have been discovered. 

Ever blunt, Deion Sanders noted, “I truly depend on Depends.  I cannot control my bladder…..You’re going to see a port-a-potty on the field.  It’s real.” 

Sanders said he lost 25 pounds but that’s he now putting weight back on.  “I’m able, I’m strong, I’m ready.  I’m now 12 pounds down…but I’m truly thankful,” he said.  

Sanders then paused, getting emotional. He continued, “God is so good, you have no idea.  For me to be here, you have no idea.”
